Janet and Stephen Shepherd live in Cave Creek, Arizona, and are passionate supporters of the Hopeful Mama Foundation, with a sincere desire to help women navigate their infertility journeys. Janet has an Ed.D. from Liberty University and retired in 2024 as Vice President of Academic Affairs at Southeastern Community College. Stephen, a retired English professor who taught writing in higher education for over 30 years, has an MFA in Creative Writing and authored nine non-fiction books, a novella, and a collection of short stories. Outside of their professional work, Janet and Stephen enjoy creative pursuits and are committed to supporting

Joe and Kristen faced a lengthy and challenging infertility journey, but they remained determined throughout the process. Their path was made easier when Hopeful Mamas came into Kristen’s life at just the right time, providing the support they needed most. After several egg retrievals, medical procedures, and unsuccessful transfers, Joe and Kristen are thrilled to share that they are expecting a baby in the summer of 2025. They strongly believe in the mission of Hopeful Mama and are committed to helping the organization thrive.
