Janet and Stephen Shepherd live in Cave Creek, Arizona, and are passionate supporters of the Hopeful Mama Foundation, with a sincere desire to help women navigate their infertility journeys. Janet has an Ed.D. from Liberty University and retired in 2024 as Vice President of Academic Affairs at Southeastern Community College. Stephen, a retired English professor who taught writing in higher education for over 30 years, has an MFA in Creative Writing and authored nine non-fiction books, a novella, and a collection of short stories. Storied Folk & Co. was founded by Linley, who navigated a four-year infertility journey. Deeply aware of the emotional, physical, and financial challenges faced by individuals pursuing parenthood, Linley envisioned ways to support families on this path. Through her philanthropic contributions, Storied Folk & Co. helps the Hopeful Mama Foundation provide hope, education, and financial assistance to women and families navigating infertility.

Our allocations committee meets monthly to evaluate applications and determine funding based on eligibility and compliance within our donation guidelines.
