Cheers to Hope: 4th Annual Sip & Shop

Hopeful Mama Foundation’s (HMF) 4th annual Sip & Shop for Hope, presented by Donor Nexus, was another beautiful morning filled with community, connection, and so much hope. This year, we were excited to bring the event to a new venue, I’ll Meet You There, in Cedar Rapids’ Czech Village. The locally owned bookstore and coffee shop, founded by sisters Lindsay and Jaymie McGrath, was the perfect backdrop for a morning centered around women, community, and supporting one another.

For the first time, our Sip & Shop community gathered on the patio, enjoying coffee, shopping local vendors, catching up with friends, and meeting new faces. There was something so special about watching our community come together in a new space and seeing the heart of Sip & Shop for Hope continue to grow. Perhaps one of the most meaningful moments of the morning was meeting one of our 2026 grant recipients in person. She traveled four hours to join us and be part of the morning, which was such a beautiful reminder of why we do what we do and the impact this community has beyond our own city.

Sip & Shop for Hope has become more than just a shopping event.

It is a celebration of women supporting women and an opportunity to bring our community together while shining a spotlight on local businesses that are doing amazing things. Thanks to the generosity of everyone who attended, shopped, donated, and showed up for Hopeful Mama, this year’s event raised $6,000 for the Hopeful Mama Foundation.

We are incredibly grateful to all of the amazing vendors who helped make the morning so special. Their talent, passion, and willingness to support our mission are a huge part of what makes this event possible. You can learn more about them at the links below.

We also want to give a heartfelt thank you to everyone who purchased our always popular swag bags. These bags are one of our favorite parts of Sip & Shop and are filled with generous donations from local businesses, including samples, treats, coupons, and handmade items. Your excitement around these bags year after year never goes unnoticed!

A very special thank you to I’ll Meet You There for welcoming Hopeful Mama and our vendors into their space and donating 10% of proceeds back to HMF during the event. We are so grateful for their generosity and for the opportunity to partner with a business that cares so deeply about creating a place where people can gather, connect, and feel at home.

We are incredibly thankful to our 2026 presenting sponsor, Donor Nexus, and our community partners, Midwest Bath Co. and Van Meter.

Your support allows us to continue creating events like Sip & Shop for Hope and, more importantly, helps us continue providing connection, education, and financial support to women navigating infertility. Most of all, thank you to every person who came out and supported Hopeful Mama. Whether you purchased a swag bag, grabbed a coffee, shopped with a local vendor, made a donation, shared the event with a friend, or simply showed up, you helped make this morning possible.

Four years of Sip & Shop for Hope, and we are still reminded of the same thing: community matters. We are so grateful for each and every person who continues to show up for Hopeful Mama and for the women and families we serve.

We cannot wait to see you all again next year!
